Calendar Information
About this calendar and how Compass Center scheduling works.
📅 About This Calendar
This website displays publicly listed events and scheduling information for The Compass Center at Butler University. Events are compiled by Compass Center staff from the university's official room reservation system (EMS) and published here to help students find community programming.
This calendar is informational only. It does not accept room reservation requests or event submissions from the public.
🏛️ Room Reservations at Butler
Butler University uses EMS (Event Management System) as its official campus-wide room reservation platform. Compass Center spaces are reserved through EMS.
- Student organizations may reserve rooms on behalf of their organization through EMS. Individual students may not reserve rooms independently through EMS.
- This website is not connected to EMS and cannot be used to request, hold, or confirm a room reservation.
- For reservation questions, contact the Compass Center directly or visit the official website linked below.
🔄 How the Calendar Is Updated
Compass Center staff review confirmed EMS reservations and update the master schedule regularly. The calendar reflects publicly listed events as of the date shown in the "Schedule reviewed through" indicator at the top of the Events Calendar page.
Events may be added, changed, or cancelled after the last review date. Contact the Compass Center for the most current information about a specific event.

📲 Adding Events to Your Calendar
Click any event with a listed start and end time to open its detail view, then tap "Download Calendar File (.ics)" to save that single event to Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Outlook, or any calendar app that supports the .ics format.
Note: Downloaded calendar files are a one-time snapshot of the event details at the moment of download. Events without complete times cannot be downloaded. Files do not automatically update if the event is later changed or cancelled. Check this calendar for the latest information.
